Director of marketing at Ghana Broadcasting Television

The Ghana Broadcasting Corporation (GBC) seeks an exceptional, innovative, enterprising and self-motivated person for the position of Director of Marketing. He/she will report to the Director-General with responsibilities as follows:

Generally responsible for the day to day administration and operations of the Marketing Division

Specific Duties:

Formulate and implement marketing policies and strategies to sustain and enhance the position of the Corporation as market leader
Generate business plans and proactive sales propositions to ensure that customer needs are identified and met
Develop new products that will contribute to substantial increase in revenue of the Corporation
Train and develop staff to meet marketing and other objectives of the Corporation
Co-ordinate work with all the Divisions to meet and advance corporate objectives
Provide regular management information and reports to facilitate decision making
Prepare annual budget of the Division in accordance with established procedures and prudently manage and control funds and resources allocated to the Marketing Division
Any other duties assigned by the Director-General

High level of business planning and development, account management and marketing skills
Excellent analytical and report writing skills
Outstanding negotiation and presentation skills
Strong communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
Team leader, team builder and team player skills
High level of computer literacy

Qualification:

A post graduate qualification in Marketing or related field of specialisation with at least eight (8) years relevant post qualification experience
A good first degree or its equivalent in Social Sciences, Business Administration, Economics, Marketing plus at least ten (10) years relevant post qualification experience
