IT Training & Administrative Coordinator

Purpose of Role:
The purpose of the Ghana IT & Administration Coordinator role is to deliver training to end users in the organization about how to use various types of software programs efficiently and effectively in support of business objectives and provide office management administration services to the IT department.

General Accountabilities for this role:

Coordinating with department heads to assess departmental training needs and objectives
Create, administer, analyze and report on end user needs assessments and skills assessments
Develop and coordinate an overall IT hardware and applications training curriculum for end users of all levels
Maintain an efficient and organized office environment
Assist with the monitoring of the IT budget
Prepare basic reports and cost assignment/billing statistics
Assess, recommend and purchase courseware package and support development of appropriate courseware tools
Participate in identification and recruitment of instructors and external course providers for specialized software training needs
Conduct research into computer-based training products and services in support of development and purchasing efforts
Maintain departmental relationships with other service and production departments
Design, develop and deliver software application training programs and individual classes
Present instructor-led training sessions
Develop and deliver new courses for new existing software applications including all course materials and exercise and skills evaluations
Review training materials and documentation and keep them up to date
Create and communicate trainings schedules in consultation with departmental decision makers
Establish and maintain a database to track training participants' status and result
Create and administer training event feedback mechanisms. Analyze result, make recommendations for training improvements, and integrate changes in curriculum and/or courses
Work with internal software developers to keep apprised of changes and upcoming developments in in-house software applications
Communications software problems and issues to software development problems and support teams
Stay up-to-date with developments in both commercial and custom-built software products used in the organization
Manage and/or provide guidance to junior members of the team
Monitor and maintain the office supply inventory
Manage IT leave calendar
Manage IT personnel travel arrangement and itineraries
Maintaining the condition of the office and arranging for necessary repairs
Organizing Staff meetings and minutes
Overseeing the recruitment of new staff and induction
Organizing/Facilitating conferences and training

Required Skills or Experience

Required Skilled Knowledge, Qualification, Experience and Statutory Appointment:

Good University degree in the field of computer science, information systems, or education and/or 8 years equivalent work experience
Certifications in ICDL and Train the Trainers
Hands-on knowledge of enterprise and desktop applications, including all Microsoft Productivity Tools and SharePoint Intranet
Proven experience with adult learning principle, methodologies and course design techniques
Knowledge of trends in computer technology relating to software
Experience with building and maintaining course and participant databases
Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including instructional and presentation skills
Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on motivational skills and positive attitude
Ability to conduct research into course development and delivery concepts as well as technical software issues
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
Highly self motivated and directed
Ability to absorb new ideas and concepts quickly
Good analytical and problem-solving abilities
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment
Very Strong customer service orientation
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
