Job Description

A real estate company seeks to hire an Interior Designer who will be responsible for:

providing sketches for a proposed design of a space
advising on and choosing colours, furniture, and materials to complement the design
communicating the design effectively to vendors, contractors, and clients
liaising with and co-ordinating the work of architects, electricians, plumbers and others to complete the job in a timely and cost-effective manner
ensuring that projects stay on budget and on schedule
documenting processes and products used
managing contracts and negotiations

Required Skills or Experience

The successful candidate who will also be involved in the creation and execution of marketing plans for the projects must:

be artistic and stylish
be a good team player
have good organizational skills
have CAD training
basic knowledge of building and safety codes
have strong marketing ability



Qualifications

The ideal candidate must

have a minimum of two years experience in a similar role.
have a diploma in Interior design or any related field of study ( any art or design- based higher education course)
have hands on experience/working knowledge of Microsoft Office software packages
