Job Description

Country Focus: Ghana, Mali, Senegal, the Gambia

Overall Objective:
Support and strengthen E+Co’s portfolio companies to ensure maximum triple bottom line returns.

Tasks include:

* Build a working relationship with entrepreneurs.
* Review existing EDS activities with each company and assess if additional services are needed.
* Track performance of the portfolio companies until E+Co is fully repaid or exited.
* Compile a company overview for each portfolio company to assess progress from disbursement to date
o Outline deviations from investment recommendations; if deviations exist, manage corrections, adjustments and reporting to Portfolio Manager.
o Collect M&E data
o Assess M&E reporting data against current status of company
o Review last 12 months of financial statements to compile financial performance throughout the length of E+Co’s loan; as needed, assist clients in meeting financial reporting requirements
o If an equity investment, prepare a valuation and outline exit strategy options.
o Analyze business challenges and growth opportunities
* If a company is delinquent (with approval from Portfolio Manager):
o Assess current state of business and analyze reasons for delinquency.
o Document delinquency and cure period.
o Engage local legal counsel as needed to utilize local court systems for payment.
o If restructuring is recommended, prepare restructuring plan and review with Portfolio Manager.
* Prepare a quarterly review of portfolio and performance.

Required Skills or Experience

* Bilingual in English and French
* Open mindedness
* Analytical
* Background in investment Banking, Venture capital or Private equity
* Minimum a Bachelor’s degree in Finance
