Accountant Analyst

Job Description

Reporting to: Snr Manager, Finance and Accounting (Rancard)
Starting date: June/July, 2012
Location: Accra/Ghana

Key Responsibilities:
Includes but is not limited to:

Recording, documenting and reporting on all financial operations of the business, in accordance with processes and procedures of the company.
Daily cash management, banking activities and reconciliations needed for operations of the business.
Filing statutory returns and liaising with external and internal stakeholders such as IRS, SSNIT,VAT,etc in ensuring that appropriate documentation and returns are properly maintained.
Work with Rancard management and other key team staff in preparation and co-ordination of fiscal reporting activities, including management and financial reports, year-end audit and all other reporting exercises.
Assist with budgetary planning activities and analytical reporting.
Ensure adequate administrative and financial controls are maintained for the operations of the business.
Other additional responsibilities assigned by the head of department from time to time

Required Skills or Experience

Requirements:

Minimum of a first degree preferably in Finance and Accounting, Business or Commerce from an accredited, recognized tertiary institution
Must have successfully completed at least the final level of an accountancy professional examination (eg: ICAG, CIMA, ACCA)
Minimum of 3-5 years working experience preferably in an FMCG organization (eg: Telecommunications)
